Our Philosophy
The philosophy of The Montessori Garden, Inc., is the transmission and development of responsibility to foster independent thinking, curiosity and positive self-discipline. We recognize the parent as the child’s first educator and as an integral part of the individual’s total development. Through observation, parent education and partnership with the teacher, children are led to discover, and apply the Montessori philosophy. In teaching children specific skills, we do not seek to impart knowledge alone but to instill the lifelong habit of learning, questioning and relating to others. All this leads to the development of the whole person. Education at The Montessori Garden, Inc., is founded on the principals of the Montessori Method. Our program is acknowledged by the International Montessori Society.
